CRITERION TO CHOOSE STEP LENGTH FOR SOME NUMERICAL METHODS USED IN HYDROLOGY
An analytical treatment is given for the step error of some numerical methods frequently used in hydrology. Such a treatment is then utilized to formulate a criterion to choose the step length a priori that will guarantee convergence, stability and minimum error production for the numerical method. /Author/
