MODELSHIP CORRELATION METHOD IN THE MITSUBISHI EXPERIMENTAL TANK
The model-ship correlation method which is developed and used in the Mitsubishi Experimental Tank is presented. From the ship trial analysis, two correlation factors, i.e. resistance correction factor and wake correction factor are analyzed. The analyzed data of these correlation factors are given for more than 50 vessels of miscellaneous kinds. The power estimation of an actual vessel using these correlation factors is the reverse process of the trial analysis. The detailed explanation of the whole system of this method is given.
