MARITIME MOBILE TELEPHONE SWITCHING SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
A maritime mobile telephone switching system has been developed in order to improve radio frequency band utilization and custom service qualities. The basic functions of the mobile telephone switching system are radio channel control, tracking exchange including location registration and remote subscriber data file access, and charging for mobile calls. To perform those functions, a D-10 electronic switching system and its stored program control technique were adopted. Field tests of the system were successful.
