AUTOMATIC VEHICLE LOCATION -- AN OVERVIEW
Automatic vehicle location (AVL) techniques have the potential for improving urban vehicle fleet operations. Various approaches to AVL are discussed and an introductory overview of the current state of the art in AVL technology is presented.
