LESSONS IN CONVENIENCE
The Tampa International Airport in Florida is a prime example of efficient use of existing airport land. While vertical expansion of terminal facilities may be more expensive to build in the first stage, it may also be the cheapest in the long term because the total life of the airport can be extended almost indefinitely, and passenger convenience can be maximised to its fullest by reducing total walking distance to around 600 ft.
