NEW RESEARCH ON LIGHTWEIGHT GROUT-INTRUDED CONCRETE
NOUVELLES RECHERCHES SUR LE BETON COLLOIDAL LEGER
Details are given of the results of investigations into lightweight grout-intruded concrete carried out in France by the CERILH. The manufacturing process is outlined together with the rheological properties of fresh concrete and the physico-mechanical characteristics of hardened concrete. Once the design of lightweight grout-intruded concrete had been successfully implemented, composite materials containing lightweight grout-intruded concrete were developed. Two types of composite materials are described. Mention is made of their fields of application. The author concludes by giving data on ready mixed lightweight grout-intruded concrete. /TRRL/
