DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF BRIDGE GRID UNDER MOVING FORCE
This paper deals with the analytical and experimental verification of an orthogonal bridge grid subjected to a moving force under constant velocities. The natural frequency, mode shapes and the dynamic response of the bridge grid are carried out for two cases, lumping the masses at the joints, in one case for the self weight of grid, and in the second case for the self weight of grid plus the weight of the slab. The modal analysis is used for the evaluation of dynamic response of the bridge. The moving force is treated as a transient pulse which is triangular in nature and assumed to be acting at the modal points. The resulting differential equation is solved by using Laplace transformation.
