PETROGRAPHIC COUNTS OF AGGREGATES (0.08 - 80 MM)
LES COMPTAGES PETROGRAPHIQUES DANS LES GRANULATES (0,08-80 MM)
The authors recall the statistical principles governing petrographic counts and some guidelines for carrying out the test: selection of a compact grading envelope, count of a large number of particles (approximately 200), and definition of the notion of statistical confidence. Some applications of petrographic counts are described (investigation of toxic or dangerous ingredients, refining of the accelerated polishing test). /TRRL/
