USE OF COMPUTER FOR MARINE ELECTRIC SYSTEMS DESIGN

L'IMPIEGO DEL CALCOLATORE PER LA PROGETTAZIONE DEGLI IMPIANTI ELETTRICI DI BORDO

The complexity of the electric systems on board of ships is such that it has been found convenient to design them by means of a computer. The procedures now being used by Italcantieri are described, which include the basic design of the whole system and the automatic drawing of the main electric wiring diagrams. Mention is made of the future developments.
