DELAY-TIME IN INFORMATION TRANSFER AND HIERARCHICAL STRUCTURE OF AHS

In this paper, delay-time of information transfer in AHS (Advanced Cruise-Assist Highway System) is discussed as a parameter, and the parameter addresses each subsystem of AHS, mainly "Vehicle and Traffic Flow Control System" in total system. One of the largest differences between AHS and other usual information networked systems is the delay time. The inner structure of total delay time ET is composed of sensing delay time dtl, transfer delay time dt2, etc., ET=Sum[dta] a=1,2,...6 . The first process of this study has been on AHS-i(information provision service), followed by AHS-c(control support service) and somewhat on AHS-a(automated cruise service).
