THE INFLUENCE OF VEHICLE DISTRIBUTION MODELS ON PACKET SUCCESS PROBABILITY ON A THREE LANE MOTORWAY

In this paper, the authors evaluate the influence of vehicle distribution models on the packet success probability. Four statistical models handle the distribution of the vehicles on a three lane roadway, measuring the traffic conditions. Results reveal that depending on the desired accuracy, fixed vehicle positions or exponential distributions can be chosen.
