VIDEO ON DEMAND : FIBRE OPTIC BACKBONES ARE THE TECHNOLOGY-OF-CHOICE FOR COST EFFECTIVE WIDE-AREA TRAFFIC MONITORING SYSTEMS

This article looks at the increased use of closed circuit television for traffic surveillance on highways. It describes how fiber optics play a role in this technology. Also discussed are issues regarding video interference, laser interference, and the requirements for isolation.
