FIGURE EIGHT FORMAT FOR DRIVER COLLISION RESPONSE DATA COLLECTION: FEASIBILITY STUDY
The document is the final report for a research study to determine the feasibility of utilizing Figure Eight auto racing as a format to collect real time driver collision response data. The study was designed to develop criteria to select drivers most likely to be involved in meaningful collisions; to determine the frequency of occurrence of meaningful collisions; and to develop potential predictive models.
