GENERALIZED WARPING TORSION FORMULATION. DISCUSSION AND CLOSURE

A discussion of a paper with the aforementioned title by M. Schulz and F.C. Filippou, published in this journal (Volume 124, Number 3, March 1998), is presented. The discussers claim that the torsion and flexure problems studied by the authors fall into the realm of the classical Saint-Venant problems and question their use of approximations and generation of the displacement field. Discussion is followed by closure from the authors.
