STUDY OF HIGH-STRENGTH CONCRETES REINFORCED WITH HIGH STRENGTH REINFORCEMENT: STUDY OF BONDING LAWS AND CRACKING IN STATIC SYSTEM

The bonding laws of high-strength reinforced concrete structures under short-term imposed load were investigated experimentally using an original experimentation method. The mechanical strength of concrete was taken as a test parameter. All of the test members are provided with high-strength reinforcement (HSR). The analysis of the experimental results and the bonding laws deduced from them have led to the conclusion that the improvements brought about by the high-strength concrete have led to significant improvement of the bond between the steel and the concrete. At this stage of the study, without prejudging the conclusions of the cost assessment, and in the absence of definitive results regarding structural behavior, it seems that the use of high-strength concretes associated with HSR can be envisaged, provided that certain stress limitations are complied with.
