THE EFFECTS OF YIELD MANAGEMENT ON RAIL SHIPPERS

The intent of this study is to demonstrate that a properly-implemented railroad yield management system will improve the service that rail shippers receive. In the course of thss study, it was determined that reliability, transit time, value, and availability are among the major concerns that transportation-buying firms have when it comes to the movement of their products. Fortunately, though, a railroad yeild management system would allow carriers to deliver vast improvements in these areas of shipper concern.
