This study is designed to provide truckstop operators with quantitative information on their share of the fuel purchased by for-hire fleets as well as the share for the other fuel-sourcing options, such as self fueling, fueling at card lock facilities, and mobile fueling. The study also focuses on the reasons offered by for-hire fleet managers for purchasing fuel at various fuel sourcing options. These alternatives will enable the fleet managers to prioritize the attributes at each fuel sourcing option that were considered most desirable. The study further provides the fleet manager with an opportunity to suggest specific truckstop improvements that could result in increased fuel purchases at truck stops by the fleet managers. These improvement strategies range from enhanced cleanliness of facilities to increased parking capacity.
