HUMAN FACTORS APPROACH TO RAILWAY SAFETY

This article discusses the research and development efforts the RTRI staff is engaged in, in order to prevent railway accidents and crossing accidents from occurring due to human error, and to strive for greater improvements in railway operations safety. This review summarizes the studies from actual accidents; what methods were used to achieve the results; or what methods were used while trying to achieve those results. The references include only English language studies.
