LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS FUEL USE. BASIC TRAINING MANUAL

This training manual first discusses alternative fuels in general and gives the following three reasons for their use: federal and state mandates for lowered emissions; reducing dependence on foreign oil; and improved public image. The major emphasis of the manual is on liquefied natural gas (LNG). The specific aspects covered include: composition of LNG; storage and fueling with LNG; vehicle operation and repair; safety precautions and procedures; and emergency response and preparedness.
