The book presents a comprehensive study of the economics of leisure and recreation activities and the implications for planning of this sector. A framework is developed for the analysis of the recreation sector covering consumer demand for activities, the implications for mobility and the transport system and, optimal location for leisure facilities and overall economic planning of future developments.
