INFRASTRUCTURE AND HIGHWAY SUPPORT NEEDS OF REGIONS AFFECTED BY ENERGY ACTIVITIES

The population increases and additional personal travel by highway expected to result from additional energy production in the period in 1977-85 are indicated for each of the lower 48 states. The forces that affect capability of the local infrastructure to cope with strains from such population increases are addressed.
