PULSE-ECHO MICROWAVE TOMOGRAPHIC IMAGING AND OBJECT RECOGNITION FOR NDE OF CIVIL STRUCTURES AND MATERIALS
The development of high-resolution imaging and object recognition capabilities for nondestructive examination (NDE) of civil structures and materials consists of many challenging facets. In this paper, we present a sequence of research tasks ranging from data acquisition, image reconstruction and enhancement, to object recognition for the development of pulse-echo tomographic microwave systems for high-performance imaging and recognition.
