VIBRATION MEASUREMENT ON TURBO MACHINERY

The article gives details of techniques for measuring vibration using various types of proximity probes. In monitoring compressors and other turbine-type machinery, the same measuring facilities which are used for vibration measurements can be used to indicate thrust-bearing failures.
