A MARKETING APPROACH TO CARPOOL DEMAND ANALYSIS. TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM II. SURVEY TABULATIONS AND EVALUATION

The memorandum contains many detailed tabulations, cross tabulations, and major conclusions for policy assessment resulting from a survey taken in connection with a research effort examining the role of individuals attitudes and perceptions in deciding whether or not to carpool. The research was based upon a survey of commuters in 3 major urban areas and has resulted in a sizeable new data base on respondents' socioeconomic and worktrip characteristics, travel perceptions and travel preferences. An overview of the findings, conclusions and recommendations of this research is contained in the Summary Report, also available through NTIS.
