TRAVEL BEHAVIOUR PATTERNS OF EMPLOYEES WORKING IN LARGE OFFICE BUILDINGS

The set-up and preliminary findings of a survey into some aspects of the travel behaviour of employees from large office buildings are given. First, work trip behaviour will be described (mode choice, choice of residence, etc.) in relation to certain influencing factors such as parking situation, accessibility, car ownership, images of travel modes, etc. Second, the paper deals with the shopping travel behaviour of the employees in the vicinity of the office building during midday break and before and after working-hours.
