THE BEARING CHARACTERISTICS OF UNBOUND AGGREGATE SUBBASE COURSES UNDERNEATH ASPHALT PAVEMENTS

The determination of force-deformation ratios by means of triaxial cells receives its importance in two steps: (1) to broaden the knowledge of unbound materials; (2) to get a valid platform to perform structural design. This article reports an attempt to transfer a stress-dependent modulus of elasticity (called MOG-function, obtained by triaxial facilities) into the calculation methods of multi-layer and finite-element-programs.
