A FRAMEWORK FOR TESTING THE EVALUATION OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT TECHNIQUES
EEN TOETSINGSKADER VOOR DE EVALUATIE VAN OPENBAAR VERVOER TECHNIEKEN
A calculation method to compare public transport techniques in medium urban agglomerations is presented. The public transport techniques concern the different kinds of bus (whether or not on a free lane), railbus, guided light transit and tram. The method contains a combination of cost benefit analysis and multicriteria analysis. A user friendly personal computer programme is developed to make the application of the method possible in concrete situations (for instance for the planning of eminent public transport in the city of Eindhoven). For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 884093.
