DISCRETIZATION OF DISTRIBUTED LOAD IN FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURES

Wave pressure load on a ship hull is discretized for the finite element analysis of ship structures. Formulas for several load cases of hydrostatic pressure on elements are derived. The formulas can be applied to finite element analysis of ship structures and other structures.
