GASTIGHT AND WATERTIGHT DOORS WITH THE PAD SYSTEM

The article describes gas- and watertight PAD doors developed by Blohm+Voss to the latest standards of the German Navy. The doors meet the highest demands on safety, quality and service life. Unlike conventional doors with static seals the Blohm+Voss doors are equipped with a pneumatically activated seal - the PAD seal.
