TECHNOLOGICAL MODERNISATION OF SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY (2) - SUB-ASSEMBLING

Updating the ship production process at the hull section assembling stage rests upon flexible production liens. These are entirely mechanised or partly automated production lines that enable, in the technological stage of the steel assembling process, full realisation of the concept of "moving the product through the process" instead of "moving the process through the product". The accomplishment of this principle makes possible the increase of the production process flow velocity and the reduction of costs in this stage of ship hull production. The logistics of the process has been increased, and consequently its controllability.
