HARBOUR TUG DEVELOPMENT IN HONG KONG

The article describes LAM TONG, the first of two 26m long coastal and berthing tugs built by Imamura Shipbuilding Co Ltd in Japan for the Hong Kong Salvage & Towage Company. The main engine power totals 3,200bhp producing a bollard pull of 43 tonnes at 100% mcr and a corresponding free running speed of 12.45 knots. General arrangement drawings are included.
