DYNAMIC STABILITY STUDY ON GRILLAGE STRUCTURES OF HIGH-SPEED SHIPS

The paper studies the dynamic stability of grillage structures subjected to periodic in-plane dynamic loading. A Timoshenko beam system is used as the grillage calculation model and the finite element method is applied to obtain the governing equations of dynamic stability. By V. Bolotin's method, the dynamic instability regions of grillages are determined int he parametric space. Numerical analyses have been carried out to the problems of dynamic stability of a grillage in various situations of boundary restraint, pillar arrangement, concentrative mass, influences of shear deformation and rotational inertia etc, and conclusions from the analyses are obtained.
