A STUDY ON THE SIMULATION OF LINE HEATING PROCESS USING A SIMPLIFIED THERMAL ELASTOPLASTIC ANALYSIS METHOD
A simplified thermal elastoplastic analysis method to predict deformations of plates due to line heating was proposed and its validity shown by experiments. Also, a system to simulate plate forming by line heating was developed. It was also verified that the system has good computing efficiency owing to the simplicity of the method. In the simulation process, a method to estimate heat flux of the torch was suggested. Experiments on the line heating process showed that the simulation method has good accuracy and efficiency.
