SEA RHONE: UK-BUILT LOW-AIR-DRAUGHT COASTER

The design of low-air draught coasters has evolved over the past two decades from that of the motor barges operating on European rivers and canals, and combines their role, trading deep into the Continent, with that of the traditional short-sea coaster, thus eliminating expensive trans-shipment. This article describes the low- air-draught coaster SEA RHONE built by The Yorkshire Dry Dock Co Ltd, UK.
