OOCL CALIFORNIA: LARGEST CONTAINER SHIP YET COMPLETED

The article describes OOCL CALIFORNIA, built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, Japan for Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd (OOCL), Hong Kong. Demand for ever-larger container ships means that the reign of this new class of 4960TEU container vessels as 'the largest in the world', will be of short duration, with 5000/6000TEU capacity vessels already building or proposed.
