TRANSPORTATION, LAND USE, AND GROWTH

This report seeks to accomplish three tasks: 1. to review and critique the current academic literature on the relationship between highway and other infrastructure investments and economic growth; 2. to propose a new model of this relationship, one which takes into account worker mobility and the productivity of land; and 3. to estimate the parameters of this model using an improved measure of public capital stocks.
