ANALYSES OF ACCIDENT TRENDS IN TERMS OF THE AGE OF THE DRIVER RESPONSIBLE AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT, AND OF THE LENGTH OF TIME HE HAS HELD A LICENCE
ANALISI DELL'ANADAMENTO DEL FENOMENO "INCIDENTE STRADALE" IN FUNZIONE DELL'ETA DEL CONDUCENTE RESPONSABILE AL MOMENTO DELL INCIDENTE, NONCHE DELLA SUA ANZIANITA DI PRIMA PATENTE
This paper is based on an analysis of the police reports of 318 accidents in which the drivers were judged to be mainly responsible. Tables and graphs are presented which show: 1, accident trends in terms of the age of the driver, where of 14 age groups between 18 and 70 yrs, the 22-25 age group had the highest incidence 26.4%; 2, accident trends according to the length of time a driving licence has been held, in which 1 year holders had the highest incidence, 21.7%; and 3, accident trends in terms of the age of the driver and the length of time the licence was held.
