THE USE OF RUBBER TYRE PARTICLES IN CONCRETE TO REPLACE MINERAL AGGREGATES

The possibility of using rubber tyre chips and particles as a replacement for the mineral aggregates in Portland-cement concrete was investigated. In this study the compressive and flexural strengths of rubber tyre concrete are evaluated, and the effects of the volume contents of the rubber tyre chips on these strengths is also examined.
