ON THE MODELLING OF BUS STOPS IN TRANSIT NETWORKS, PART II: A NUMERICAL COMPARISON OF DIFFERENT MODELS
In this paper the researchers undertake a numerical comparison of three main existing transit stop models and the two special cases of the general stop model proposed in Part I of this study. For this, a large number of transit stops with different parameters are simulated and confidence intervals for distribution probabilities between attractive lines and for passenger waiting times are constructed according to the Batch Means method proposed by Law and Carson. Then, for the same stops, the results of the considered stop models are computed and compared to the simulation results. (A) For part I of this study see IRRD 872720.
