OBJECTIVE BRIDGE CONDITION ASSESSMENT
A methodology and its associated tools for the objective condition assessment and reliability evaluation of bridges are discussed. Integrated analytical-experimental research, conducted to explore the serviceability and damageability behavior, is summarized. An effective research and development strategy is described, comprising field and laboratory applications, designed with a structural identification approach.
