SOELVESBORG - DEN LILLA STADEN FOER ALLA? EN STUDIE OEVER TILLGAENGLIGHETEN FOER FUNKTIONSHINDRADE I SOELVESBORGS CENTRUM

The main purpose of this report was to find out what problems a person with a disability might encounter when moving around central Soelvesborg (8 000 inhabitants). The study was concentrated upon getting the users' point of view, and special demands, on the outdoor environment and entrances in the central parts. The study was carried out in three parts; an inventory, an initial study and an opinion poll. The recommendations following this study concern snow clearance and maintenance, design of footways and pedestrian crossings, directional signing and design of staircases, the availability of resting places and parking reserved for disabled persons.
