REBUILDING NEW YORK CITY'S BRIDGES

The once neglected bridges of New York City (NYC) are finally getting the attention they deserve, as the Federal Highway Administration, the New York State Department of Transportation, and the New York City Department of Transportation have been coordinating bridge rehabilitation efforts in NYC over the last 15 years. Bettigole Andrews and Clark, Incorporated (BA&C), has provided engineering design and construction services on various NYC bridges. This article highlights the work of BA&C on the University Heights Bridge, the Queensboro Bridge, and the East River Bridges.
