EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL STUDIES OF HULL- DECKHOUSE INTERACTION-2-LEVEL DECKHOUSE
The results of twelve tests of hull-deckhouse interaction are presented and discussed. Deflections of hull and deckhouse were measured. Stress distributions along three transverse sections and along the deck to deckhouse joint were calculated from measured strains. Three bending moment distributions and two deck support arragements were used in the test program. The experimental results are compared with results from finite element analysis and two other theoretical methods of analysis of hull-deckhouse interaction.
