ASYMMETRIC NOZZLE DESIGNS INCREASE PENETRATION RATE

Asymmetric nozzle designs can change drill bit hydraulics significantly, increasing penetration rates. The results for both polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) bits and rock bits verify a significant increase in the rate of penetration (ROP) by simply changing to a new family of nozzle designs while holding other parameters constant.
