PEDESTRIANS' PROBLEMS AND SAFETY
Pedestrian safety is still a major concern worldwide. In Eastern Europe as well as in the poorer Third World countries, pedestrians are still the group of road users that are most at risk. This paper identifies safety issues associated with pedestrians and offers international statistics on pedestrian fatalities.
