LANDSLIDES: INVESTIGATION AND MITIGATION. CHAPTER 16 - IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS IN SLOPE DESIGN
This chapter examines some of the important considerations in slope design. These considerations emphasize the importance of careful selection of slope design parameters, which must reflect (1) site-specific environmental conditions potentially affecting slope stability, (2) strength properties of the materials forming the slope, (3) economic considerations, and (4) other facility design constraints.
