STATE PARAMETER FROM SELF-BORING PRESSUREMETER TESTS IN SAND. DISCUSSION AND CLOSURE
A discussion of a paper with the aforementioned title by H.S. Yu, published in this journal (Volume 120, Number 12, December 1994), is presented. The discussers focus on the possible effects of fabric and stress path on the state parameter concept. The discussers also report that inverse modeling of a properly conducted in-situ cavity expansion test provides a good estimate of in-situ stresses. Discussion is followed by closure from the author.
