ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURE OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND DYNAMICS OF EMISSION OF ATMOSPHERIC SPECIES RELATED TO THE GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE (SOX, NOX, AND CO2) IN ASIA
The structure of energy consumption and the conditions of SOx, NOx and CO2 emissions, which have most affected the global changes (acid rain and greenhouse effect), and their changes from 1975 to 1987 in the whole Asian area (east of Afghanistan and Pakistan) are shown by countries and regions. China and India, whose lands are much larger than other countrie, are divided into 29 and 13 regions, respectively. Each of these regions has about the same area as other countries in this Asian area. (A) This paper was presented at the Supercities: environmental quality and sustainable development conference held San Francisco, USA, October 26-30, 1992, organised by the Pacific Basin Study Center, College of Science and Engineering, San Francisco State University.
