GOING GLOBAL: WORKING SMARTER IN THE ITS MARKETPLACE

Strategies abound on how best to explore business opportunities in the expanding global marketplace for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Communication is a starting point. The authors saw the Second ITS World Congress at Yokohama, Japan last November as a unique venue for communicating with representatives of corporations already immersed or hoping to become immersed in the international market-place. Their research, conducted before, during, and after the meeting, inspired this summary aimed at helping companies and individuals to work smarter in the pursuit of markets abroad.
