CRIME AND ACCIDENT INVOLVEMENT IN YOUNG ROAD USERS
The author examines the relationship between accidents and crime a criminological point of view and from the point of view of traf research. Theories of individual propensities to commit crime ar discussed in particular personality theories and control theories crime. Examples from traffic research are described which simila link accident liability with a number of background factors. The author then investigates whether accidents have background factor which can be used to predict accident involvement. Adolescents w questionned about their delinquency and accident involvement. So factors were also considered such as bonds with parents and frien commitment to school, dating and working. A linear relationship found between delinquency and accident involvement.
